Aid Kit for Events

Every now and again small things happen that
make a show get off track. The following is a list compiled by asking
experienced programmers what they keep on hand to prevent a minor
problem becoming a major disaster. Keep in mind this is not a total
list and it could and should be tailored to fit your facility and
program types.
- Duct Tape - 2 rolls
- 50' Tape measure and Chalkline
- (2) 25' Microphone Cord - 3 prong High
Impedence
- (2) 50' Speaker Cord - w/ 1/4" phono plug
- (4) Microphone Jack adapters - 3 prong to
1/4" phono
- (4) 1/8" RCA plugs (male &
female)
- (4) 1/4" to 1/4" phono plug couplers
- (2) 1/8" to 1/4" stereo phono plugs
- 4 each of batteries of assorted sizes - 9
v., C, D, AA, AAA, N, flat mic batt.
- A variety of extension cords with 4 way
plug ins - heavy cable should be used. Having a different lengths
available makes for a safer and efficient show.
- Fused power strip with at least 4
outlets.
- Assortment of fuses
- Electrical tape
- Mat Knife
- Pliers, Hammer, 8" Crescent Wrench, Vise
Grips, Wire Cutters, Plain and Phillips screwdrivers, Nut drivers,
Wire strippers, Scissors, Staple Gun
- WD-40
- Assorted Sizes - wire nuts
- (8) 6" C-clamps
- 200 feet of 2000 lb. test nylon rope
- 1 roll of 12' wide 50' long Visqueen
(plastic sheeting in case of rain)
- 5 rolls of 2" masking tape
- 3 rolls of 1" masking tape
- 3 rolls of double-backed carpet tape
- Assorted Colors of Flair markers and Magic
Markers
- Reflective/Luminescent tape - for marking
stage edge and stairs
- Several pairs of Leather work gloves
- Ground Fault Circuit Tester
- Nylon Cable Ties
- (2) Flashlights
- Sound Pressure Level Meter
- First Aid Kit for emergencies
Good Luck - you can be assured that everything on this list is
something that was needed at some point in time before, during or
after an event that WAS NOT there when it was needed.
Your events may not need these types of items but this can serve as a model for your own
